Domgle is a beta version of an application which allows the searching of multiple databases via the web using Ajax technology. Ie, something IBM should probably have included in the product themselves, but /shrug. Little/no commentary from me here, but seeing as the post seems to have generated a lot of comments so far it's probably worth a read. Check out this article over at Edbrill.com and see what you think. I'm interested in comments/thoughts, although one thing I will say, is that Wild Bill is bang on the money with comment 22: @11. Heartily agree. Come on IBM - hire a bunch of template developers and offer a visually similar and functionally complete version of all the base sharepoint apps.. Just because it'd be far easier. And then of course have them as "open source". Oh...

It started off as a joke, but then it turned out to be incredibly usable. The top monitor is attached to my laptop, which is out of the shot. The other 2 monitors are attached to my main development desktop. The laptop and the desktop are then linked together via Synergy so I can use a single keyboard and mouse to drive it all.

Skype Protocol Has Been Cracked.   According to their CEO, their software will not support Skype's Super Node Technology. Right now every computer with Skype installed on it can be used as a relay to carry data between two other computers when both of those computers are only allowed to make outgoing TCP calls. A Scanner Darkly I love the subtitle, and the style of the movie in general. Regardless of whether the movie is any good or not, it's going to be an interesting film to watch. The only question is whether to re-read the book beforehand or not.

This fix is quite a welcome one for some people. I've come across it a few times, and dealt with it using a quick Java conversion agent which is floating about somewhere. It's a shame it's taken this long to sort it out, regardless of who's fault it is.

Title Free. At some point, when I have a chance, I'll be converting Merauderweb to be more of a tumblelog style creation. I may move the few pieces of more serious writing I do elsewhere, or just write less seriously altogether.

See how fast you can type! is a nice quick online typing speed test. I just scored 100.74wpm in my first run, which is pretty surprising as I usually do badly at these things. Round two, 116.62wpm!

I read over the posts on this topic over the past couple of days, without a lot of interest. Mary Beth comments that she was a little surprised to get 75 responses on the topic, when the discussions around the Workspace didn't get nearly that many.
