Apple don't always get it right

A little piece of genius I just found while updating my iPod firmware. It runs off, applies the image, and then I notice a weird icon come up on the iPod. After a minute or so I get this helpful message from the updater:

Well that's just dandy. What if I happen to be at work right now and the power adapter is at home? Well I guess I'm screwed then. How hard would it have been to mention this before I start the update. So now I need to wait until I get home to use the thing again. Neato.

That is very poor indeed.

Whenever I have a firmware update on the laptop it reminds me about 20 times to make sure it doesn't sleep or run out of power. I am off to buy a 6gb iPod mini right now though.

I've been totally happy with the iPod apart from that. It was just bad timing as I needed it that day, and it seemed very a very 'unapple' thing to do.

Now the new firmware is on and all the menu options are in new places. Ugh.

6gb, and more battery life... *envy*
