The first rule..

As far as games made from movies that have potential, a Fight Club game would be up there as a potential winner. However, it seems all too easy to screw up 3d fight games rather badly (UFC: Tapout anyone?), so I guess we'll have to wait and see what this actually turns into.

# The first rule..

Is it just me or is making a commercial tie-in product out of Fight Club missing the point of the entire movie? The fighting was merely an enabler to let people break out of their complancency - this game should be about subverting corporate machines, you should be able to flood starbucks with sewage, put laxatives in MacDonalds meat supplies, put acid into CNN presenters water etc.

So presented with the opportunity to make a truly subversive and groundbreaking game that would be renound for it's counter-culture anti-coporation message, the game makers opt to make a beat-em-up. With "environments true to the movie!" Does this remind anyone else of the abysmal, derivative movie licenses of the 80's?

And on top of all that, wtf is going on with making the game of a movie FIVE YEARS after the release of the movie?!
