Samsung MD230X3 and MD230X6 multi displays are a logical next step for a self confessed multiple monitor addict like me. I bet Al Gore has a load of them ordered already.

Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate Silent - Blank Keys, Soft Sound – I want blank keys except for the top numbers, because I find not having numbers a real pain when gaming. I think I’m going to need to buy two of these and swap out the numbers (my hunt for white letraset transfers has failed so far).
Henge Docks – seriously cool, and useful for anyone who uses a Macbook on the move and at a desk. Neat idea, and you have to admire their bravery given they know that Steve is going to change the port layout at every chance he gets.
Consumerism, thou art a cruel mistress.

The illustrated guide to a Ph.D. – I expect it’s quite co incidental that a Ph.D. looks like a pimple.

Inception graphic – not sure how much the graphic really adds, but it is quite a neat graphic.
Lost's creator explains Inception's confusing ending [Major Spoiler!] – I wouldn’t call the ending confusing myself, ‘inconclusive’ or ‘thought provoking’ might be terms which are more relevant. Nonetheless this tweet probably explains why I’ve never watched Lost.

Overkill as art: Ars reviews the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 – that’s a pretty serious mouse.
I’m probably the wrong person to talk to about mice, as I’m finding it rather hard to find anything to replace my Logitech MX518. Hear that Logitech? The MX518 kicks fucking ass – it doesn’t have 3948 buttons or removable weights or it’s own scriptable API or anything like that. It’s a mouse which is comfortable to use, end of story.

Lotus Notes dumped in AMP cloud email move
There are some IBM customers in Australia who continue to be happy with Notes — such as Australian youth charity BoysTown, which recently decided against Exchange or Gmail and instead upgraded its Notes installation – but in general there have been no large new Australian Notes customers reported for some time.
I'd safely say the same trend applies in New Zealand.
Four Generations of the iPhone from Chris Pinnock on Vimeo.
Some interesting timing tests for comparison – if you own a 3GS at the moment it’s going to be hard justifying an upgrade to a 4 for performance reasons.

Migrate Shares and Backups to New System – I’m posting this for reference purposes. I’m about to finalise a new WHS, and all I needed to do was read the post I’ve linked to in order to tell me that there’s no way I want to bother going through all that.

Suppress Splash Screen in Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio Express – I wouldn’t say that splash screens are exactly the bane of my existence, but it’s always nice to save some time, so this one could be pretty useful (if I remember it every time I do a new install).
It’s actually quite an interesting exercise in terms of perception that having no splash screen makes things feel quicker.
